Birth Children & Fostering – a heart warming experience.

Sometimes the simplest things in life can become the richest experiences. Read about how a little girl with a life limiting condition visits to play, and touches a family's hearts.

Most people we know already know that my parents are foster carers. A little girl came to stay with them this weekend, and they visited us so she could play with our girls. She has a life limiting condition and is partially deaf.

She took a real interest in Nick’s guitar – so he sat and played it to her, and she asked if she could play too. She danced, and laughed, and was just the happiest little girl in those 5 minutes.

Those 5 minutes will stick with me for a long, long time.

Watching this interaction was so special. We’re so lucky to have the opportunity to experience these moments with such incredible children. We read stories together and just had the nicest day doing the simplest things.

I love that we’re a Foster family – my Mum and Colin are real life superheroes.
